Providing Zero-to-Landfill Salon Recycling Solutions for Hairdressers in the UK & Ireland.

We all love the hairdressing industry but we also know it has an ugly side too.

We freely pour toxic hair colour down the sink.

We throw out used foils and colour tubes in the regular bin given they mostly can't be recycled.

We even throw valuable hair cuttings into the bin.

Green Salon Collective is here to change all this through our specialist salon recycling program!

Founded by environmental experts, hairdressers and eco campaigners, we are the original authority on holistic salon sustainability throughout the UK and Ireland. If you're looking to become a more eco-friendly salon, then you're in the right place.

We Turn Salon Waste into Useful Materials

We offer solutions for the following salon waste: hair, used foils, empty colour tubes, chemicals, PPE, plastic, paper and even salon towels.

Whether they're composted, recycled, recovered or used to generate energy for the national grid - none of your salon waste will go to landfill.

Beyond providing each of our members with starter kits, marketing material, next-day collections and ongoing support, we also offer useful educational material on all matters regarding salon sustainability within the whole hairdressing industry.

Learn More about Our Impact

Winner - Winner

The biggest winner here is that we reward the planet. We are diverting easily recyclable salon waste materials that are currently being sent to landfill.

These are materials such as aluminium foil which is a commodity that can be recycled an infinite amount of times.

We'll also recycle hair in over 10 different ways, from helping to adsorb oil from our waterways, be added into gardener's composting mixes, or if it's long enough, be donated to wig making charities.

Hair is not just a waste byproduct of the hairdressing industry, it's a useful product and we want to make the most of hair by recycling it in over 10 different ways!
