Want your college to Go Green in 2024 and start recycling hairdressing waste?
Whilst we have 'salon' in our name, we're also for hairdressing colleges, barbers, and freelancers!
We work with several hairdressing colleges across the UK to instill sustainability in hair students from the beginning, and to ensure that their college salon's are recycling hair and metals waste - hair can be recycled in over 10 different ways!
Hear from one of our colleges...
"Our fantastic Lee Stafford salon has joined Green Salon Collective. It means our hair students will be able to recycle used foils, colour tubes, old salon towels and even hair...what a great way to reduce waste!"

Hairdressing colleges can shape the future of the hair & beauty industry to be greener
At West Lothian College, we believe in the power of education and collaboration to drive positive change. Therefore, we have introduced the Green Salon Collective recycling programme this academic year. Exemplifying our commitment to not only training talented individuals but also fostering a deep sense of environmental responsibility. Green Salon Collective enhances the educational experience and empowers our students to make a tangible impact on the world around them, encouraging a wider movement of conscious and responsible practices beyond our campus.
Through colleges joining the Green Salon Collective, we can revolutionise the way our industry operates, proving that innovation and sustainability go hand in hand. By standing together, colleges can amplify their influence, shaping not only skilled professionals but also eco-conscious leaders who will shape a greener, brighter, and more vibrant world for generations to come.
