This Recycle Week, we are so proud to announce that we have successfully recycled and repurposed more than 200 tonnes of salon waste! A groundbreaking achievement for the UK hairdressing sector.

That means 200 tonnes of hair, foil, colour tubes and towels that would otherwise have gone to incineration or landfill. This is all thanks to our incredible salons, stylists, barbers, colleges and freelancers who recycle their salon waste with us, and care about creating a more

• Equivalent to the weight of the Statue of Liberty

• Enough used foil to cover every seat in Wembley Stadium.

• Enough empty colour tubes to fill an Olympic swimming pool.

• Colour tubes stacked on top of one another would reach higher than Ben Nevis.

• Enough hair to fill 10,000 pillows.

• If tied together, the strands would stretch from Edinburgh Castle to Buckingham Palace.
  

For an industry where most waste has traditionally gone to landfill, this figure marks a major shift in salons taking part in the circular economy where waste materials can be turned into something new and useful!
