Hair salons as well as any co-working spaces in the hair and beauty industry are invited to demonstrate their businesses commitments to sustainability.

ACCREDITATION PROCESS

Prepare

Make sure you understand what criteria we cover and be prepared to validate your claims with original documentation.

Pay

When you are ready, head to our online shop. Select the accreditation program that reflects your business and pay the fee.

Questionnaire

You will be asked to fill out an online questionnaire. This should take about 20 minutes to complete.

Book

Our Accreditation Program Director, Raechel, will get in touch with you to set a date and time for your personalised audit.

Validate

To earn accreditation, we will need to verify your claims. Please make sure you are at your primary business location (if you have one) so that you can show us around.

Guidance

If for any reason you do not make the pass mark, Raechel will offer you personalised guidance on what further steps you need to take to earn the accreditation.

Does your salon have adequate systems and policies in place to welcome staff and customers from all different backgrounds and abilities?

Marketing

Do your advertising, marketing materials or social posts feature a range of races, sizes, genders and human diversity in all forms?

Suppliers

Do you take environmental and social impacts into account when choosing suppliers for everything from the hair products you offer, to laundry services, cleaners and building contractors?

Payroll

The hairdressing and beauty industry has sometimes been known in the past for unfair wages and even modern slavery incidents. Do you have policies in place to ensure staff are paid and treated fairly?
